What is 8th Chair?

A place where people answer only when they have something worth saying.

Every issue asks one question. Seven hand-picked experts, each from a different field, answer it. Those seven are the chamber.

Each expert writes a credo: 30 to 250 words, published once, attributed to their name and field, permanent.

Then the eighth chair opens. Members write their own credo on the same question and vote on the others. After two weeks the top-voted credo takes the eighth seat and joins the record.

Reading is open to anyone. Membership is by application, and it is what lets you compete for the eighth chair.
